A Historical Win
As many of us learned in the wee hours this morning, it looked like a Trump victory was at hand. The fact that Republicans will also have control of the House, Senate, the Supreme Court and the popular vote mandate seems a bit mind blowing after almost 4 years of suffering under the Biden/Harris administration. No doubt there will be pushback and lawfare from the Left to make this transition as difficult as possible, but let us pause, celebrate and give thanks to Almighty God for hearing our earnest prayer for changing the trajectory of our nation.
A Trump administration means:
Free speech
Medical freedom/Bodily autonomy
Religious Freedom
Protection of girls and women from gender confused men
Closed borders
Investigation into corrupt Big Pharma, Big Food and out of control bureaucracies
It was the biggest comeback in political history-many say a miracle. It was truly inspiring to watch it unfold last night. A massive weight has been lifted and now an air of hope, anticipation and patriotism triumphs in our minds and all over social media. God has shown mercy on our country.
Here in Montana, the night was bittersweet. We retired Tester and replaced him with pro-life, pro-family Tim Sheehy to the U.S. Senate, as well as elected Cory Swanson to Chief Justice. But the heartbreak over the CI-128 passage was palpable. In addition to loosened restrictions of the gestational age of the baby, parental rights are destroyed, safety regulations are removed and intentionally vague terms create confusion and dangerous circumstances for our teens and women. Although MMFA was not on the forefront of the fight, we were involved and will continue to be as next steps are considered. Please continue to pray over this issue.
We at MMFA are now preparing for the upcoming legislative session. We will be identifying sponsors to carry our bills, crafting bill language and planning informational opportunities for the legislators. It’s getting exciting! Again, don’t forget to sit back and reflect on a political triumph like none we’ve ever seen and be thankful. It truly is an amazing day. Then we need to look forward to the work ahead. We’ve been given a gift of great conservative, freedom-loving legislators in Montana and we look forward to working with them.
